The distressed leather already looks broken-in, which I love since new boots usually need weeks to stop feeling stiff. Mid-calf height hits right below my knee and the rounded toe gives them a softer look than my old pointy pair.

These fit my wider calves without any gaping at the top, which is usually my problem with mid-calf boots. The rounded toe keeps them from looking too sharp, and the leather already has that worn-in softness after a week.
